

I'd bet that it saves me an average of 10 minutes a day of direct time in addition to saving me lots of mental clutter of having to remember what that password was, where that policy doc is, etc. Locker combinations, passport numbers, hundreds of sites, insurance policy info, auto form filling, etc etc. Using something like LastPass for years has completely outsourced any remembering of important crap in my life. I think it's ok to use a service like Lastpass (with multi-factor authentication) to maximize digital convenience by taking a small but existing risk. We can choose to take every extra effort to bring our risk to zero but should always ask if it's worth it. To me, this is very similar to the freedom vs security debate with modern society in general. I saw that article too, became a bit paranoid, then remembered the reasons I use it.
